World Most Renewable Resource

So the more I think about it, the more I understand why people think lesbians plan the hell out of pregnancy. I mean honestly, if you had to shell out $250-$500 every time you wanted sperm, you’d be pretty danm intent on getting the timing right too. But at the same time I read the books and look on the websites and I can’t help but think: Sperm is the worlds most renewable resource! Why in the hell does it cost so much for like.o6 cm! I know what you’re really paying for is gaurentees. Gaurentee that the man is healthy and free of disease. Gaurentee that the sperm is viable and swimming. But it still seams like a raw deal. I mean, if the frozen sperm most lesbians get only lasts for about 2 days after being unthawed, it seems like your paying more for a product that quickly becomes obsolete. This is not to say that I don’t understand why women want to use frozen sperm. Especially if they want to keep the legal custody rights to themselves. Not to mention the whole sensation that your doing the most medcally safe/sound thing to get pregnant. Maybe it’s just my direct nature that feel like we’ve over- complicating a fairly simple and natural process. (Baring fertility complications of course) I suppose I come off sounding a bit naive. I’ve heard a lot of lesbians have difficulty getting pregnant for one reason or another. Laura and I have pretty much already decided that we’re going the fresh sperm route so as to avoid the extra $$$ output of a clinic. I know that means we’ll have the necessity of making sure the donors health is a-okay on our shoulders. Not to mention working out a schedule for drop offs and all the other aspects. but being that we’re still in the planning phase I don’t feel particularly rushed.
